After a month long vacation in July, I finally headed back to work August 4. So there is not as much time available for having fun with the pole. Still, I tried to spend at least 20 minutes a day. I tried to work out some basic exercises that could be modified for the pole. Pole pals, please put your hubby's and boyfriends to work thinking up some other ideas for me.I watched a few basic tutorials, some from Veena, some from expert village to get ideas. The basic fireman spin with walk around the pole is supposed to be the easiest move there is--except for the walk around, LOL! You are supposed to step lighyly off the ground with just one foot and land slightly turned. It looks ridiculously easy when the expert village lady does it! In reality, I found it impossible. How exactly is she holding herself up in the air even for that fraction of a second while she takes the little half turn?By the way, this is my very first time using the Windows Movie Maker. It was much harder thatn I imagined--I've got a lot of respect for those of you who do these clip movies all the time. But I love the features and I hope I'll get better with it. I tried adding a few captions. It's certainly better than the FLIP program that came with the camera. (But I love my FLIP cam!)Oh...one more thing... the SPEEDO is not my fault. Sport's Authority had a coupon sale--75$ of purchases and you got a discount on something else. So my wife picked it out for me because one of the You-Tube polers (Studio30, I think) said I needed shorter shorts for the thigh hold.
